Nazik Erik, (1919-2012) İstanbul Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi Türkoloji Bölümü ve Yüksek Öğretmen Okulu mezunudur. Reşit Rahmeti ve Fuat Köprülü gibi hocalardan ders gördü.
Samiha Ayverdi’yi ve eserlerini tanıdıktan sonra tasavvuf alanının derinliklerine daldı. Buradan öğrendiklerini çok iyi özümseyip içselleştirdi ve durup dinlenmeksizin öğrencilerine ve çevresindekilere anlattı.
Antakya, İskenderun, Manisa, Ankara, Kayseri, Samsun ve Isparta’da öğretmenlik yaptı. Lise, yüksek okul ve üniversitelerde Edebiyat ve Türk Dili dersleri okuttu. Fransa’da 2 yıl çocuk edebiyatı araştırmalarında bulundu.
Öğretmenliği çok sevdi, pek çok öğrenci yetiştirdi. Ama bildiğimiz, sıradan öğretmenlerden değildi. Sınıfta, koridorda okul bahçesinde ve evinde müsait gördüğü öğrencilerine bildiklerini bıkıp usanmadan anlattı. Onlara sadece kitap bilgileri aktarmadı, gönüllerini ve ruhlarını da beslemeye özen gösterdi. Her birine kendilerini tanımalarını ve özlerindeki cevheri geliştirmenin yollarını da öğretti.
Anadili öğretimi ve bu konudaki yanlışlar üzerinde ısrarla durdu. Bu konuda kitaplar yazdı. Ömrünün son yıllarına doğru art arda birçok kitabı çıktı. Benim Ispartam, Uluçınarın Gölgesinde, Orda Bir Medeniyet Var Uzakta, Türkiye’de Anadil Öğretimi bu kitaplardan birkaçıdır.
Nazik Hoca hakkında bir takım araştırma eserleri ve tez çalışmaları da vardır. Son olarak Nazik Erik’in hayatını ve düşünce dünyasını anlatan bir eser çıktı. Belgesel roman tadında ve bir solukta okunabilen bir kitap: Gönül Dostu Nazik Hoca, öğrencisi Gazanfer Sanlıtop’un imzasını taşıyor (Kubbealtı Neşriyatı).
HAYIR DİYEMEDİM
Kitaptan onun insan sevgisini ve yüce gönlünü yansıtan bir olayı nakledelim. Suluova Amasya’nın bir ilçesi. Hoca bir ara oraya sürgün edilir. Ama ne gam vatanın her yeri onun için bir hizmet alanıdır. O küçük ilçeyi ve insanlarını çok sevmiştir, şöyle anlatır:
“Durakta otobüs bekliyorum. Kılık kıyafetinden ortaokul öğrencisi olduğu belli, 12-13 yaşlarında bir çocukcağız yanıma sokuldu ve bana, ‘Efendim! Galiba karşıya geçmek istiyorsunuz. Size yardım edebilir miyim?’ dedi. Bunu büyük bir memnuniyetle kabul ettim. Elimden tuttu. Sağı solu kollayarak, gelip geçen vasıtalardan koruyarak beni caddenin karşı tarafına geçirdi. Sonra ona dualar ettim, teşekkür ettim ve ayrıldık. Öyle cana yakın, öyle acıyarak bakıyor, öyle tatlı konuşuyordu ki! ‘Hayır yavrum, teşekkür ederim, burada otobüs bekliyorum!’ demeye kıyamadım… Ben, bu kadar iyilik duygusuyla dolu o genç çocuğa, ‘hayır’ diyerek gönlünü kıramazdım. Onun, böylesine gelişmiş iyilik ve güzellik duygularını incitip, kırıp gücendiremezdim. Utanıp, pırıl pırıl gözlerini yere indirip, yanımdan boynu bükük ayrılmasına gönlüm razı olamazdı. Oracıkta, o gözden kayboluncaya kadar bekledim. Onun beni görmeyeceğinden emin olduktan sonra, tekrar geriye döndüm.”11
