Vücudumuz gibi dilimizin sağlığı ve korunmasına dikkat etmemiz gerekir. Ne yazı ki toplum olarak bu konudaki duyarlığımız zayıftır. Örnek:
3 aydır korona ile iç içeyiz. Bu yeni durumla yeni kelimelere ihtiyaç duyuldu.
‘Salgın’ varken ‘pandemi’ diyoruz.
‘Solunum cihazına bağlanma’yı ‘entübe’ ile karşıladık. Bu, anadil duyarsızlığı, dil bilincimizin eksikliğini gösterir.

‘Sosyal mesafe’ yeni çıkan ve çok kullanılan bir kavram. Gazetemiz yazarı Arzu Günaydın’ın isabetle belirttiği gibi, sosyal olmak, kişinin insanlarla arasının iyi olması demektir. Oysa bu sözle araya mesafe konması istenmektedir. Doğru kullanış ‘fiziki mesafe’ olmalıydı. Belki de bu hatalı kullanıştan olsa gerek, kurala yeterince uyulmuyor. Bu gibi konular epeydir beni rahatsız ediyordu. Bugünlerde elime ulaşan bir kitap bu satırları yazmama yol açtı.

ÇALIŞTAY VE KATILANLAR
Bir çalıştayda sunulan bildiriler, iyi bir kapak ve baskıyla çıktı: ‘İlhan Ayverdi’nin Hatırasına Türkçeyi Yeniden Düşünmek’ (Altay Vakfı yayını, 2020).

İlhan Ayverdi (1926-2009) ilk kadın sözlük yazarımızdır. Onun son 30 yılını vererek hazırladığı ‘Misalli Büyük Türkçe Sözlük’ (Kubbealtı neşriyatı), kısaca ‘Kubbealtı Lugati’ adıyla anılan 3 ciltlik bir eser olup en iyi sözlüklerimizden biridir.

Ayşe-Güner Topuz ikilisi birçok güzel kültür faaliyetleri hazırlamakla bilinir.
Geçen Kasım’daki bir çalıştayda, Türkçemizin durumu, Kubbealtı Lugati’nin hazırlanış süreci ve özellikleri üzerinde durulmuştur.
Toplantıya Türkiye’nin önemli bilim ve kültür adamları katılmıştır: Kenan Gürsoy, Mustaf İsen, Belkıs Gürsoy, Mehmet Doğan, Semahat Yüksel, Mustafa Tahralı, Güner Topuz, Kurtuluş Kayalı, Namık Açıkgöz ve Levent Bayraktar.

Çalıştayda Türkçenin tarihi macerası, yazı dili haline gelmesi, sadeleştirme çalışmaları, dile yapılan müdahaleler ve Kubbealtı Vakfı’nın buna karşı tutumu, işlenen başlıca konulardır.

LUGATİN ÖZELLİĞİ
Kubbealtı Lugati’nin hazırlanması ve kelimelere verilen örnek metinlerin seçilmesinde İlhan Ayverdi acaba nelere dikkat etmişti? Mustafa Tahralı’nın bildirisinden bazı görüşler sunuyorum: Bu Sözlükte kelimelerin farklı manaları için 6 asırlık çeşitli kültür eserlerinden bolca örnek cümle ve şiirlere yer verilir. İlhan Hanım bu örneklerin hepsinin kültürümüzü ve milli zevkimizi yansıtmasına dikkat etmiştir. O anadil zevkine sahip, dilini seven biridir. Türkçenin bir medeniyet dili olduğunu, dilimizin ruh ve manasıyla Türk-İslam Medeniyeti’ni, irfanımızı yansıttığını seçtiği örneklerle göstermek istemiştir. Bizim 1100-1930 arasında yaşadığımız kültür ve medeniyetimizin izleri bu lügatte açıkça görülür. Bu sözlük milli kültür, din, dini ilimler, tarih, milli tarih, edebiyat ve gelenekli sanatlar sahasında çalışanlar için bir el kitabı sayılır. Kültürümüze, dilimizin kelimelerine, hayatımıza, edebiyatımıza medeniyetimize, dinimize, irfanımıza sanatlarımıza ait bütün kelimeler bu kitaptadır. Seçilen örnekler hikmetli, zevkli, tabii, güzel ve akıcı bir Türkçe ile yazılmıştır.
